The VOYAGE 500 is a luxury, blue water, performance oriented, cruising catamaran. They are intended for owners planning to do serious cruising or planning to use the boat in the charter business. Voyage 50s are 50 ft overall with a 27 ft beam, and a displacement of about 22,600 lbs. Voyage Yachts manufacturing facility is located in Cape Town, South Africa. Voyage cats are manufactured to the highest international standards with meticulous attention to detail. All Voyage yachts are CE Certified and widely acknowledged for their quality, performance, ease of handling and low maintenance. Voyage Yachts has built and sold over 120 luxury cats from 43 to 58 ft LOA. They have won numerous cruising and multihull awards for design, construction, finish, safety and comfort. The Voyage 50 is well designed, with an appealing, low profile appearance. They are strongly built, very light by design and construction, fast compared to many other similar 50 ft cats, and comfortable at rest and underway. The Voyage 50's low profile design significantly reduces the boat's exposed wind area, allowing better windward performance and better overall speed potential whether under power or sail. This Voyage 50, named Sea Chateau, was commissioned in 1998 and is located in St Thomas, USVI. She offers four generous staterooms, four private heads (all with electric toilets), a large saloon to starboard, a large a "U" shaped galley to port and an electrical & communications console just starboard of amidships. The boat is roomy with abundant storage. Headroom throughout the boat is excellent, about 7 feet. The large saloon and galley bar allow for entertaining 10 or more people here in quiete comfort. She has three refrigerator/freezers, an ice maker, flat screen TV, DVD player, and six separate Bose music systems, (two in the saloon & cockpit and one in each of the private staterooms). The four staterooms all have queen sized berths and unsuite heads. In addition to the four staterooms, the boat has two large bow compartments located forward of the two forward staterooms which can be used for additional sleeping berths, sail storage or recreational equipment storage. Turning our attention aft, the cockpit is spacious and has a welcome full coverage hardtop, a full width windshield, and roll-up full width rear sunshade. The helm station is high and to starboard in the cockpit with excellent all around visibility. A convenient stern platform and boom crane system allows the ship's dingy to be easily, lifted, launched and carried, well out of the way. The boat is powered by two 56 HP Yanmar diesels which were installed new in 2006 and 2007. There is a 6 KW Northern Lights generator in a fully sound proofed enclosure and four separate 7 KW air-conditioning units. The sails consist of the main and genoa, both in very good condition and appearance. The main is housed in a blue Sunbrella stack-pack, new in 2008. The genoa is mounted on an electrically driven, remotely controlled headsail Profurl furling system. There is an Anderson variable speed 12 v electric winch mounted on the cabin top to port which can be used to power winch a sheet or halyard. Overall the boat is in excellent condition and has been very well maintained. The boat is based in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, USVI. The present owners are enjoying the boat for private use as well as for occasional one week charters. Charter use and revenue from the boat has been excellent. The vessel is being offered for sale as the vessel only, (not including the charter business or the income it generates). An interested buyer could easily carry on with the charter business, including taking over about 100,000 in available charters already booked for the first half of 2010. This revenue could be a substantial offset to the vessel purchase price. A 17 minute narrated video of Sea Chateau is available on Facebook ... Contact the listing broker for details. Overview: Hulls, deck, cabin, cockpit & hardtop The Voyage Mayotte 500 is 50' overall (LOA) with a 27' beam. Construction of the hulls and cabin is a composite cored sandwich of fiberglass and epoxy with abundant framing for high strength and light weight. The hulls are narrow and have mid-sized keels to improve tracking and minimize leeway. The low profile design with low freeboard and low overall cabin height minimizes wind resistance and produces a very sleek, appealing design. Yet, even with the low profile, interior headroom is not compromised. Headroom throughout the boat is a generous 7.0 feet. The condition and finish of the hulls, deck and cabin is excellent. Each hull contains two full size sleeping cabins, (each with a queen sized berth and unsuite private head. In addition each hull has a spacious passageway, with good headroom and lots of additional storage. In addition to the four staterooms there are large spaces in the bows, forward of the forward staterooms which can be used for additional sleeping space, or for sail or gear storage. These compartments are accessed via deck hatches. The deck has four opening hatches to allow light and ventilation into the two hulls and four staterooms. Each hull is fitted with an amidships aluminum escape hatch located in the aft staterooms, port and starboard. The engine room top-access hatches are located just forward of the stern steps and provide easy engine room visibility and access. Just aft of the cockpit and spanning the distance between the two hulls is a wide and secure teak platform for access to the cockpit and providing a secure underway storage location for the boat’s RIB inflatable and outboard. Each hull utilizes a 'sugar-scoop" design with three comfortable steps down to the water. Each sugar-scoop has a built-in hot & cold, fresh water deck shower. Fuel and water tanks are amidships in the two forward deck lockers. The two bow trampolines were replaced with new in early 2009 and are in |
