Description

The Irwin 38 center cockpit is roomy, beamy, light and airy. Double cabins fore and aft along with two heads make CHARLIE K a terrific cruising/live aboard boat. There is A/C, holding plate reefer and a newer teak and holly cabin sole. Shoal drafting of 4'6" makes CHARLIE K perfect for Florida the Keys and the Bahamas. This is a lot of boat for the money

Accommodations, Cabin
All the way forward is a large V-berth and a separate head compartment with a large hanging locker, opening hatch and opening ports for great ventilation. Coming aft is a roomy main salon with an L shaped dining area to starboard and a settee to port. There are lots of lockers throughout the vessel for storage. Looking aft to port is wonderful U shaped galley with lots of counter space and lockers for the cook. On the starboard is a passage to the aft cabin but before you reach it you come to a large, well laid out navigation station. the engine compartment is between the galley and the nav. station with lots of doors and removeable panels to allow all around access to the engine and ships systems. Moving aft through the passagewey to starboard past the nav. station brings you to the aft stateroom/owners cabin. A centerline queen sized berth with lockers and bins all around and under makes this a comfortable cabin for a weekend or longer. There is a private head in the aft cabin with a shower and lots of ports and hatches to keep the area light and ventilated. Newer teak and holly cabin sole through out the entire vessel.

Brokers Comments
The Irwin 38 centercockpit was an excellent design and offers a comfortable good sailing cruising platform. In an under 40 ft. centercockpit there are not many choices and none that offer the level of comfort and utility of the Irwin. With shoal draft, sloop rig and beamy design there is a lot of value and utility for the price. Come and see CHARLIE K. Present dock is availiable at the current owners home if needed.
